After becoming the youngest Real Madrid player to ever start a ACB contest on Friday, Usman Garuba added on his accomplishments on Sunday as the youngest player to ever record a double-double in the Spanish league. In both occasions he beat Luka Doncic’s previous 17-year-old achievements for the Whites.
His side won both matches. Garuba himself went for 13 points and grabbed 10 boards against UCAM Murcia in the second Gameday of the new season. Aside the above records, he also elevated himself as the youngest double-digit rebounder surpassing Doncic’s previous mark once again.
At only 17 years and 6 months old, the promising upstart is still a couple of years away from being eligible for the NBA draft.
