Real Madrid center Usman Garuba became the first player under 18 years to grab 13 rebounds in a Spanish League game, per ACB.
Garuba, 17, registered the record during the win of his team over Obradoiro Saturday (19/10). It took the young player 29 minutes to get the 13 rebounds, capturing nine in the first half and four in the second.
This is the second rebounding record by a player under 18 years old that Garuba set this campaign. In the Round 2 rout over Murcia, the Spanish big man became the first minor to finish a game with double figures in rebounds, grabbing 10. The previous record-holder? Luka Doncic with nine.
