Tornike Shengelia scored a career-high 29 points to lead Baskonia to a 92 – 79 away win over Obradoiro for Round 8 of the Spanish ACB League. It was victory No. 4 for the Basque side and sixth loss for the game’s hosts.
Thanks to the 29-point performance, Shengelia surpassed his previous record of 28 points, which he had set in a 2018 victory over Murcia. Against Obradoiro, the Georgian forward shot 6/14 2-pointers, 2/2 triples and 11/13 en route to his new personal best. He also grabbed seven rebounds and made this bucket straight from… Tbilisi.
