Snapped its five-game skid in all competitions in EuroLeague Regular Season Round 17, but KIROLBET Baskonia fell to BAXI Manresa, 80-79, on Sunday. Dusko Ivanovic’s side dropped its third ACB game in a row and as a result was eliminated from the 2020 Copa del Rey.
Despite being in charge via slim lead almost all the way, the visitors found themselves in catch-up position late in the exciting contest. A 6-0 run down the stretch turned the tables on Baskonia.
Aleksandar Cvetkovic was responsible for four of those clutch points en route for his 16 points. David Kravish also put up 16 points. Ryan Toolson ended up with 13 after sealing the “W” from the charity stripe.
Shavon Shields and Nik Stauskas shared a team-high 14 points in losing effort. Michael Eric and Matt Janning scored 13 points apiece.
Both teams are now 7-9 in the Spanish league.
