Earlier today a hacker “broke in” Jimmer Fredette’s twitter account obviously in a mood for jokes related to the player’s sexuality and upcoming… retirement from basketball.
“I’m sorry fans, I have bad news :(“, was the first tweet which was then followed by “I will quit Basketball, because of my bf and yes I’m gay.” Among other things, the hacker left us wondering what does coming out have to do with quitting basketball.
Even though a third tweet said, “My account is not hacked, I’m sorry :(“, the fact that “Bavaria” was mentioned as a location was enough to make everyone more skeptical than before about how genuine the messages where.
Especially considering the fact that Fredette is currently playing in China for the Shangai Sharks.
The American player then deleted the tweets the hacker posted and explained that he’s not quitting basketball. His wife also confirmed about the hacked account.
