Ex-NBA player Charles Shackleford – who played for the Nets, 76ers and Timberwolves in the ’90s – was found dead in his hometown of Kinston, North Carolina the police confirmed and various US media reported.
Shackleford was 50 years old and has also played in Europe for Caserta in Italy where he won the Italian championship title, Ulker in Turkey, Aris and PAOK in Greece.
Shackleford got into legal trouble after his NBA career and was arrested in 2010 for selling drugs to an undercover police officer. The cause of his death is still under investigation.
