It wasn’t a secret that Panathinaikos was quite interested in acquiring Vangelis Mantzaris. Actually the Greens had proposed him a deal that surpassed the sum Olympiacos offered him, but ultimately Mantzaris chose to remain in Piraeus.
PAO owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos wrote that the two sides were so close to a final agreement that Mantzaris was discussing his role in the team with Xavi Pascual 15 minutes before meeting with the presidents of Olympiacos.
“To understand how much of a ridiculous guy we’re talking about, he (Mantzaris) was talking with Pascual about his role in our team (PAO) 15 minutes before entering the offices of Olympiacos”, Giannakopoulos wrote.
Giannakopoulos began his Instagram post by writing: “Trousers are worn by men – you and your agent little Vangelis shouldn’t even wear shorts – just skirts”. He also mentioned that: “You’ll find me in front of you in every area of your life until I die!!!”
