Barcelona became the first European basketball club to reach 500.000 followers on its official Twitter account – Twitter.com/FCBbasket.
This is not only more than reigning EuroLeague champion Fenerbahce (@FBBasketbol – Second in the list with 469.000 followers) or arch-rival Real Madrid (@RMBaloncesto – Third with 431.000) but even EuroLeague (@EuroLeague 474.000 followers) and the account of the Spanish League (@ACBCOM, Liga Endesa – 330.000 followers).
Regarding its other social media platforms, Barcelona has 2.5 Facebook followers and 272.000 Instagram followers.
Barcelona has been a two-time EuroLeague champion (2002, 2010) and has also won the FIBA Korac Cup (1987, 1999) and Saporta Cup (1985, 1986) twice. The club’s trophy case also includes 18 Spanish League titles, 23 Spanish Cup titles, six Spanish SuperCup titles and the 1985 Intercontinental title.
