Real Madrid’s Sergio Llull was the guest of David Broncano in the “La Resistencia”, in a funny interview full of humor coming from both sides.
Llull came bearing gifts for the host, a Real Madrid jersey and a cup with a symbolic picture imprinted on it. The picture that connects the two came from the 2017 Copa del Rey when Llull dropped a crucial ‘mandarin’ shot, for which he is well-known. Everybody present on the picture was celebrating except for Broncano (an Estudiantes fan) who gave a ‘menacing’ look to the player.
The topic which couldn’t be skipped was surely the NBA. When asked if Luka Doncic could be among the 20 best players in the world, Llull had no doubt: “Sure”, but he also talked about his relationship with the Houston Rockets – who own his rights: “I was picked up by Denver [in the draft], but by half an hour they had transferred me to Houston already. In fact, I think it was the most expensive second-round transfer. I don’t know if they paid more than a million dollars … But here I am. They have always been very respectful of my decision to stay here.”
Near the end, Llull’s ability to make impossible shots was tested with a funny ‘babies in the crib’ game. Turn on the subtitles and enjoy:
