Bayern Munich coach Andrea Trinchieri addressed the tough schedule of his team and the effects on its performance after a 78 – 69 comeback win over Telekom Baskets Bonn for the German BBL League. It was the third game that Bayern played in the last five days.

“We are playing at the rhythm of an NBA team without the amenities of an NBA team and basically we weren’t ready to play in the first half,” Trinchieri said in the post-game presser. Bayern was coming off an away match (a 78 – 71 loss) to Baskonia Friday (12/3) for EuroLeague, plus an a 108 – 102 BBL win over EWE Oldenburg Sunday (14/3).

“We were like flat tires,” Trinchieri added. “We should had help from some players that have fresh legs but for reasons that I don’t know some players aren’t helping us. And it’s something that costs us a lot of energy. I believe that whoever played in the second half was very good,” Bayern overpowered Bonn 44 – 17 after trailing 34 – 52 in the first minutes of the third quarter.

DJ Seeley scored 20 points and Nick Weiler-Babb had 16 points plus seven rebounds for Bayern that improved to 19 – 4 and climbed the third place in the standings. The Bavarian squad had multiple absences, including leading performers Wade Baldwin and Vladimir Lucic who spent 34:16 and 32:59 minutes on the floor respectively in Sunday’s game.

Strahinja Micovic scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Bonn that is now 8 – 14.
