D. J. Seeley reset his season-high guiding FC Bayern Munich to the 83-79 victory over HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim on Friday. Andrea Trinchieri’s side went up 2-0 in the best-of-five series of the easyCredit BBL Quarterfinals.
Seeley, 31, provided 33 points behind 11/15 field goals, including 5/7 three-pointers. Jalen Reynolds scored 13 points and Paul Zipser added 12 points in Game 2.
The visitors held a few slim leads in the first half and nearly came back from a double-digit deficit in the fourth period. Trae Bell-Haynes finished with 23 points.
In other German League Playoffs action Friday, a 9-0 run in the final 1:50 lifted MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg to the 86-83 victory against Brose Bamberg and to the 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. Jamel McLean put up a game-high 21 points.
ALBA Berlin and ratiopharm Ulm lead their best-of-five series, 1-0, over the Hamburg Towers and EWE Baskets Oldenburg, respectively.
