The home-court advantage has been big in the German League playoffs this year as only one road win was registered after ten games so far in the quarterfinals.
Ludwigsburg and Bayern had 2-0 leads going into Game 3 and were quite convincing, making it seem like a couple of sweeps were coming, however, Brose Bamberg and Crailsheim Merlins responded to stay alive in the series.
Brose got a 96-60 win thanks to a team effort led by Chase Fieler, Michele Vitali, and Christian Sengfelder who scored 14 points each. On the opposing side, Yorman Polas Bartolo and Tremmell Darden had 11 each.
One of the biggest surprises was the victory for Crailsheim against Bayern with 96-82 on the scoreboard as the hosts didn’t leave any chance for the EuroLeague squad to bounce back after falling in double-digits early on.
Trae Bell-Haynes banked in 34 points while also dishing nine assists and Elias Lasisi helped with 20 points. For Bayern, Wade Baldwin scored 22 and Paul Zipser 16 points.
