FC Bayern Munich cruised past Hakro Merlins Crailsheim, 86-72, on the road Tuesday. The team coached by Andrea Trinchieri won the German League Playoffs Quarterfinals best-of-five series, 3-1. Paul Zipser posted a team-high 18 points in Game 4. Wade Baldwin IV also stood out with 14 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds. Trae Bell-Haynes fired a game-high 32 points as his side completed its most successful easyCredit BBL run.
Earlier, Brose Bamberg barely held on to beat MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, 87-84, and force Game 5. Bennet Hundt had 23 points and David Kravish added 20 points. Barry Brown’s 32 points for the guests went to waste.
ALBA Berlin was the first team through to the semifinals. The remaining quarterfinal series currently features a 2-1 lead for ratiopharm Ulm over EWE Baskets Oldenburg.
