ALBA Berlin used a big fourth-quarter performance to easily beat Medi Bayreuth 109 – 79 on the road and improve to 8 – 4 in the German League. The Albatrosses overpowered their hosts 14 – 29 in the last period, closing an already impressive offensive night on a high note.
Marcus Eriksson led all ALBA scorers with 16 points while Oscar da Silva had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jaleen Smith and Johannes Thiemann added 14 points apiece.
Sacar Anim scored 20 points and Marcus Thorton posted 17 points plus six assists for Bayreuth that dropped to 5-7.
On Sunday (26/12), the Crailsheim Merlins delivered the upset against an Andrea Trinchieri-less Bayern Munich.
