DeShaun Thomas scored 34 points and grabbed six rebounds as Bayern Munich beat the Giessen 46ers 95 – 85 on the road in a German League game. The American forward took just two free throws and overall shot 10-15 2-pointers plus 4-5 triples in 28:43 minutes.
These 34 points mark Thomas’ second highest-scoring performance of his career after a 35-point game he had in the G League with the Austin Spurs in 2016.
Andreas Obst added 15 points, Jason George had 14 points and Augustine Rubit finished with 13 points plus seven rebounds for third-placed Bayern that improved to 19 – 7 with this victory.
Nuni Omot (24 points, five rebounds) and Kendalle McCullum (21 points, 11 assists) were the top contributors for Giessen. Their team is now 6 – 19 and still in the relegation zone.
