Isaac Bonga registered game-highs 18 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks as Bayern Munich defeated Ratiopharm Ulm 77 – 59 on the road. Bonga was a pillar on both ends for Bayern in its 20th win over 26 rounds of the German League season.
Bayern imposed its rhythm early with an 18-28 start before Ulm cut that deficit to 28-33. The visiting side took an 29 – 37 advantage at halftime and proceeded and control the last stretch of the third period and go ahead 48 – 61.
Ulm never managed to reduce that deficit below double figures and was scoreless in the last five minutes as Bayern kept increasing its margin. This result dropped Ulm to 14-12 and the seventh spot in the standings.
Ognjen Jaramaz added 11 points for Bayern while Yago dos Santos scored 11 (on 3-11 from the field) and Juan Nunez posted 10 points and five rebounds for Ulm.
