The Albatrosses defeated BG Gottingen 91-78 on Easter Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Arena and thus successfully avenged the dramatic 95-96 overtime defeat in the first leg.
As expected, fifth-placed Gottingen presented themselves feisty and dangerous, but with a strong 17-2 run in the third quarter, the Berliners put themselves on the road to victory.
The Albatrosses are still in first place in the BBL table – equal on points with 25-2 with the Baskets Bonn.
Due to the first-leg victory, ALBA has the advantage, but the tiebreaker will be decided on April 25th in Bonn.
Jonas Mattisseck and Johannes Thiemann led the way with 14 points.
