Former Michigan State standout Cassius Winston dropping a couple of late free throws made the difference for FC Bayern Munich in the 87-85 victory versus BG Gottingen in easyCredit BBL Playoffs action Thursday.
Winston, 25, shaped a team-high 13 points with the game-winning free throws. Nick Weiler-Babb followed with 12 points in Game 2 of the best-of-five series. Paul Zipser was a late scratch joining Othello Hunter (back), Vladimir Lucic (left hand), Augustine Rubit (Achilles), and Zan Mark Sisko (personal) on the list of unavailable players.
