Bayern Munich experienced some ups and downs this season, but as the year approached its end, Pablo Laso’s side kept improving.
They secured their fifth straight win in the German Basketball Bundesliga, convincingly defeating Heidelberg at home 83-57 to conclude 2023 strongly.
Laso took the opportunity to shuffle the lineup, and ultimately, Nelson Weidmann emerged as the top scorer with 16 points. Croatian Dranko Brankovic continued with good performances, adding 13 points, while Carsen Edwards scored 12. Two more players finished in double-digits, with Isaac Bonga contributing 11 and Serge Ibaka scoring 10 points for the winning side.
Josh Gray with 14 points and Bennet Hundt with 12 points stood out for Heidelberg.
The Munich team is now 9-3 and third in the standings, while Heidelberg remains in the danger zone after falling to 2-12.
