Bayern Munich defeats Bonn for 14th consecutive win

Bayern Munich is in great form at the moment, notching win after win in all competitions.

Pablo Laso’s side got their 14th consecutive win in the BBL, defeating Telekom Baskets Bonn at home 90-81, improving the streak of victories in all fields to nine.

The last time Bayern lost in domestic competition was on November 12th, and the winner in overtime was Bonn. So, Laso’s team made a full circle, taking their revenge on the Basketball Champions League winner as the BBL streak goes on.

Leandro Bolmaro and Carsen Edwards led the hosts with 17 points each, while Danko Brankovic scored 13 points, and Devin Booker 12. Niels Giffey also finished in double digits, adding 11 points to Bayern’s tally.

Noah Kirkwood led Bonn with 17 points, but only Sam Griesel and Thomas Kennedy followed him with 14 points each.

Bayern is back at the top of the German Basketball Bundesliga with an 18-3 score, having the same number of victories as Chemnitz, with one less match played.

ALBA Berlin Loses Procida but Defeats Oldenburg

Before the match against Oldenburg, ALBA Berlin announced that Gabriele Procida is expected to be out for several weeks with knee problems.

However, without the Italian forward, Israel Gonzalez’s side didn’t face many problems on the court, defeating Oldenburg 85-67.

It was a team effort from ALBA, with Tim Schneider and Johannes Thiemann scoring 13 points each, and Justin Bean and Ziga Samar adding 12 points apiece. Malte Delow, Louis Olinde, and Yanni Wetzel contributed nine points each.

For the losing side, Chaundee Brown had 22 points, while Dewayne Russell was on the verge of a double-double with 10 points and eight assists.
