Brae Ivey secured overtime in the Hamburg Towers vs. Bayern Munich clash, hitting a triple with six seconds on the clock. The game went to overtime, and the hosts had a chance to win in the final seconds, but Serge Ibaka said NO!
The NBA veteran and Bayern’s force under the rims made a game-winning block with four seconds on the clock, helping his team preserve the narrow lead and prevail with a final score of 80-81 on the road in Hamburg in a postponed Round 22 game.
In addition to his crucial block in the final seconds, Ibaka contributed 11 points and five blocks in Pablo Laso’s side’s victory. Isaac Bonga and Elias Harris scored 14 points each, while Nick Weiler-Babb had 12 points with seven rebounds, and Leandro Bolmaro finished the match with 10 points.

William Christmas nearly led Hamburg to a surprising win with 18 points, followed closely by Vincent Earl King with 17 points, while Aljami Durham added 13 points. However, Durham was the one who got blocked by Ibaka in the dying moments.
ALBA Berlin aids Bayern Munich’s claim for top spot
Taking on one of the toughest tasks in the German BBL this season, ALBA Berlin defeated Chemnitz on the road 79-84, leaving Bayern Munich at the top of the standings.
Sterling Brown led the way to the seventh straight victory for Israel Gonzalez’s side with 18 points, while Martin Hermannsson followed with 13. Johannes Thieman and Yanni Wetzel added 10 points each.
Jeffrey Garrett was the leading scorer for the season’s biggest surprise in Germany with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Kevin Yebo added 14 points. Deandre Lansdowne and Wes Van Beck followed with 10 points each.
Bayern tops the standings with a 20-4 score, followed by Chemnitz with 20-5. ALBA sits third with a 17-5 record but has a chance to catch up with today’s rival, with three games down.
