Bayern delivered a strong reaction after losing to Ludwigsburg at home in Game 1

Carsen Edwards had 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead Bayern Munich past MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg 83 – 67 at home in Game 2 of the German BBL quarterfinals. The Bavarian side tied the best-of-five series after losing in Game 1.

Isaac Bonga added 18 points plus 11 rebounds while Serge Ibaka posted 15 points plus seven rebounds for a Bayern team that was superior from start to finish. The hosts closed halftime up 49 – 39 and built a 20-point lead (64-44) in the third quarter. Riesen tried to cut the margin but trailed by double figures for the rest of the game.

Silas Melson paced Ludwigsburg with 20 points. His team hosts Game 3 and Game 4. If a Game 5 is required, the series will return to Munich.
