Thanks to 0 – 14 run down the stretch, ALBA Berlin beat Niners Chemnitz 96 – 85 in Game 4 of the German BBL semifinals to force a Game 5 at home. The winner of the series will face Bayern Munich for the title.
ALBA trailed 64 – 52 with 3:37 to play in the third quarter and began erasing that deficit to approach 66 – 65 near the end of the period. With Niners up 80 – 77 and 6:12 to play, the Albatrosses scored 14 unanswered points in less than four minutes to assume control of the game and ultimately get the win.
Sterling Brown had 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead ALBA. Martin Hermannnsson contributed 19 points – all of them in the second half – four rebounds and four assists of his own.
DeAndre Landsdowne dropped 19 points for the Niners. Aher Uguak posted 15 points and six rebounds.
