Bayern Munich prevailed in Game 3 of the German BBL Finals in Berlin and is on the verge of winning their sixth German championship title on Friday.

The final score was 67-63 with Andreas Obst (14 p.) and Carsen Edwards (12 p.) being the top scorers of the winning side and hitting important three-pointers.

From the other side Matt Thomas with 17 points tried his best but it was not enough. Bayern managed to get things done with an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter that gave them a 62-51 lead.

This advantage was enough despite the hosts’ comeback with their own 10-0 run, as Edwards made a big three (65-61) with 66 seconds left.

As Bayern coach Pablo Laso said: “Both teams played good basketball, considering that these are the finals and we have played more than 80 games. Although it is difficult, we saw a lot of intensity and energy, which speaks for the players. It is June, these are the last games, and yet my players are fighting for every ball. It is 2-1, but it is not over yet. We still have a lot of work ahead of us if we want to win the series.”
