Hamburg records big win over ALBA, while Bayern falls to Ludwigsburg

Two German EuroLeague teams lost in Round 2 of the BBL, as both ALBA and Bayern were defeated.

ALBA Berlin fell 97-80 to Hamburg on the road in their first official game of the season.

Brae Ivey led the winning side with 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while South Sudanese Kur Kuath added 15 points and seven rebounds.

On the other side, Jonas Mattisseck scored 12 points for ALBA, Christ Koumadje added 11 points and eight rebounds, and Matteo Spagnolo also scored 11 points.

At the same time, Bayern Munich lost an away game against Ludwigsburg, 78-70, just days after beating Chemnitz in their season opener on a game for Round 3.

Ezra Manjon led Ludwigsburg with 15 points, followed by Hunter Maldonado with 14, and Jacob Patrick with 13 points.

For Bayern, Niels Giffey contributed 16 points, Oscar Da Silva added 12, and Shabazz Napier scored 10 points.

On the rest of the games for Round 1 – while Bayern had a 1-1 record and the lead – the results are the following:
