Bayern overcomes a slow start, secures fourth straight win

After falling into an early nine-point hole, FC Bayern Munich recovered to beat the Rostock Seawolves, 80-70.

Pushing his side to 7-3 in Germany’s easyCredit BBL Regular Season with a win in Rostock on Sunday, Carsen Edwards put in a team-high 17 points.

Two more double-digit scoring contributions stretched from Andreas Obst tallying 14 points behind 4/8 three-pointers and Kevin Yebo setting his season-high at 13 points. On the wrong end, Bryce Hamilton netted a game-high 25 points, including five triples.

Besides experienced Serbian forward Vladimir Lucic dealing with a calf injury, since early in the 2024-25 expedition, Johannes Voigtmann was rested. Also, Elias Harris stayed on the bench for the team coached by Gordon Herbert.

Taking the lead in the standings, MLP Academics Heidelberg dropped ratiopharm Ulm, 69-67, on Saturday. Jumping to 8-3, half a game separates them from Bayern and Ulm.

The meeting between FIT/ONE Wurzburg Baskets and ALBA Berlin was postponed. It was originally scheduled for Sunday. A new date for the Round 11 fixture is pending.
