By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

Staying close to the top spots of the easyCredit BBL, Syntainics MBC rallied past ALBA Berlin to secure a home win, 94-76, on Saturday.

With Louis Olinde (foot), Ziga Samar (illness), and Matt Thomas (illness) joining Justin Bean (wrist) on the sidelines, Gabriele Procida recovered from a knee injury forcing him to sit out the last three weeks. The 22-year-old Italian forward lasted nine minutes and scored three points in Round 13 of the BBL Regular Season.

Limited to two wins over the last 14 outings across all competitions, the team coached by Israel Gonzalez fell to 4-7 in the top-flight division of Germany. The hosts improved to 7-5, two games behind the leaders, FC Bayern Munich and FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets.

Trailing by 13 points in the second quarter, MBC bounced back in style and created a double-digit lead with Michael Devoe putting in a game-high 20 points. On the losing end, Matteo Spagnolo recorded a team-high 16 points, Yanni Wetzell followed with 15 points, and Tim Schneider posted a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.
