A third consecutive win between Germany’s easy Credit BBL and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague for FC Bayern Munich

Leading in double-digits most of the way, FC Bayern Munich picked up a home win, 87-78, against MLP Academics Heidelberg and jumped to 15-5 in the easyCredit BBL Regular Season on Sunday.

At a sold-out BMW Park, Carsen Edwards drew up a team-high 19 points with 7/15 from the field. Shabazz Napier added 18 points alongside seven assists and five rebounds. A third double-digit scoring contribution for the team coached by Gordon Herbert, Danko Brankovic chipped in 14 points. In addition to Devin Booker and Oscar da Silva nursing knee injuries, Andreas Obst, Johannes Voigtmann, and Kevin Yebo sat out as well. On the losing side, DJ Horne recorded a game-high 21 points.

NBA draft prospect Noa Essengue put in 20 points, paving the way for ratiopharm Ulm in an overtime win, 101-90, over ALBA Berlin, 101-90. His side improved to 15-6, forcing the visitors to 10-11.
