Bayern Munich suffered one of their biggest defeats of the season just a few days ago, falling to Baskonia 89-112 in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague EuroLeague Round 30.
However, Gordon Herbert’s team seized their first opportunity to bounce back, defeating Rostock 91-66 in the domestic championship, improving their easyCredit BBL record to 17-6.
Onuralp Bitim led the way with 18 points, while Carsen Edwards added 13. Andy Obst contributed 12 points, and Elias Harris chipped in with 10. Danko Brankovic registered nine points and seven rebounds, while captain Vladimir Lucic also scored nine points, along with five boards and three assists.
For Rostock, Nijal Pearson led with 19 points, Malik Osborne added 11, and Pedro Bradshaw finished with 10.
Bayern will now shift focus to two crucial games in the battle for EuroLeague playoffs: an away game against Barcelona (March 25) and a home game against Partizan (March 27).
Behind an 11-0 finishing sprint, FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets prevailed, 84-80, over ALBA Berlin on Sunday. Former UTSA standout Jhivvan Jackson ended up with 39 points, a new personal best for the 2024-25 campaign, pushing his side to 12-11 in the Regular Season of the top-flight division of Germany.
