Two free throws by Leon Radosevic with 16 second remaining handed Brose Bamberg 85 – 84 victory over Bremerhaven for the 33th Round of the German League.
This result improves the record of Bamberg to 28 – 3 and keeps them on the hunt of Ratiopharm Ulm (29-2) that remained first despite the defeat by Ludwigsburg (17-14).
Karven Anderson, who had previously hit the 3-pointer for the 79 – 82, missed in his attempt to avert his team’s defeat and Bremerahven fell to the 12th spot of the standings with a 11 – 20 record.
Down 42 – 51 at halftime, the Bavarians came back and turned the match into a thriller that lasted until the final buzzer thanks to Aleksej Nikolic and Darius Miller’s 16 points apiece. The American forward also notched 7 assists and 4 rebounds.
Quincy Diggs was the top scorer for Bremerhaven with 20 points. Later tonight (29/4) fourth in the standings Medi Bayreuth (22-9) defeated Bayern Munich on the road. Coach Djordjevic’s team still holds the third place standing at a 27 – 4 record.
