Brose Bamberg tied the German League quarterfinal series against Bonn with a 87 – 71 victory on the road and reclaimed the home-court advantage.
Eager to respond after defeat in Game 1, the Bavarians outplayed their opponents 19 – 25 in the first quarter and then assumed total control closing halftime ahead 25 – 55. Game over, even if there were 20 minutes left.
Luca Staiger and Daniel Theis led a balanced offensive effort with 15 points each for Brose Bamberg while Fabien Causeur added 14 points plus 9 rebounds.
Ryan Thompson scored 13 for Bonn.
In the other German championship quarterfinals game played today, Ratiopharm Ulm beat Ludwigsburg 82 – 76 to away from home for a 1 – 1 tie in the series.
Chris Babb had 21 points for Ulm and DJ Kennedy 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists for Ludwigsburg.
