The duo of Robin Benzing and Kresimir Loncar scored more than half of their team’s points and granted S. Oliver Wurzburg a 76 – 73 victory on the opening night of the new German League season.
Benzing finished with 23 points while Loncar added 20 inflicting serious damage on the champions’ defenses that never appeared able to stop them.
Maodo Lo scored 15 points and Daniel Hackett for the visiting squad that shot poorly from the perimeter (5/19) and the free throw line (16/25), something that hurt its already struggling offense.
