Medi Bayreuth closed Round 12 in BBL after defeating Oettinger Rockets at home 93 – 72. The hosts led the entire game to improve to a 9-3 record in the German league.
Gabe York led the winners with 20 points and De’Mon Brooks added 17 points and 5 assists. Sava Lesic had 16 for the guests.
Earlier in the day, Telekom Baskets had a huge win over EWE Baskets Oldenburg 90 – 68 in Bonn. The hosts remain in playoff spots after the victory (7-5 record) while their opponents slipped to 6-6.
Josh Mayo paced Bonn with 16 points and 5 assists and Julian Gamble also contributed with 15 points and 8 boards. Rasid Mahalbasic led all scorers dropping 18 points for the losing side.
Over the weekend, Brose Bamberg had a comfortable win in Dejan Musli’s debut for the team. Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich also had easy victories.
