It was a battle but ultimately, EWE Baskets Oldenburg got the win over Braunschweig 86 – 84 for the German BBL. Thomas Klepeisz missed a free throw with 4 seconds left but Oldenburg grabbed the rebound and escaped with the win.
DeAndre Lansdowne scored game-high 24 points and Scott Eatherton had 18 rebounds for Braunschweig, but they and their teammates couldn’t avoid the defeat.
In Yesterday’s German Cup game, medi Bayreuth defeated Fraport Skyliners in Frankfurt 96 – 74. The game was decided at the half with the visiting side leading 60 – 33.
Gabe York led the winners in scoring with 20 points and Bayreuth advanced to the next round of the German Pokal.
