After All-Star break last week German Basketball Leauge is back. Alba Berlin had an easy Saturday against Mitteldeutscher at home 91-71.
The second quarter separated the teams tonight as Alba won that period by 11 points (25-14) building 42-31 lead after the first half.
The visiting squad had no energy to fight for a comeback as Alba had no troubles to close the game in the right way.
Dennis Clifford was tearing apart Mitteldeutscher’s defense with 18 points. They had no real answer for him as they sent him to the free-throw line 12 times.
While Clifford was dominating in scoring Stefan Peno was in charge for assists. He was one assist away from the double-double as he had 9 assists and 10 points. The talented Serbian had only one miss from the field (3/4) making sure his team record another win.
Luke Sikma also contributed with 12 points and 9 boards.
This was a fourth straight win for Alba in the Bundesleague as they are standing on a strong 14-4 record. The only team that has the better record than Alba is Bayern Munich.
With this loss, Mitteldeutscher sinks to a 5-14 record.
