Bayern Munich suffered to keep its undefeated run in BBL against medi Bayreuth. The German league leaders’ were behind on the scoreboard with 4 minutes left (81 – 83) but a late run gave them a 96 – 88 victory. Bayern got its eighteenth win in nineteen games.
Bayern had a strong start (28 – 22) but Bayreuth had a quick reaction and it was a one-point game at the half (43 – 42). Robin Amaize kept the guests close with 21 points (5 three-pointers) and 4 assists but it wasn’t enough.
Danilo Barthel led Bayern with 21 points and 9 rebounds while Jared Cunningham added 17. Braydon Hobbs contributed to the victory with 15 points.
Early today, Ratiopharm Ulm got the road victory over Gottingen. Telekom Baskets Bonn also defeated EWE Baskets Oldenburg off from home with Josh Mayo scoring game-high 24 points.
