Alba Berlin extended their winning streak to 6 – 0 in the German Bundesleague. This time they prevailed over Jena on the road 99-89.
It seemed that this wasn’t going to be an easy game for Aito Garcia Reneses’ side as they were up by only 3 points after the first half (46-43). Luke Sikma took care of Alba’s lead with 12 points and 5 rebounds in the first 20 minutes.
Sikma finished the game with 21 points, 9 boards, and 6 assists as well.
The run in the third quarter by the visitors made all the difference tonight. Alba won that period 29-21, building a double-digit lead (75-64). Alba kept pushing until the end, facing no real resistance.
Kyle Weaver’s game-high 23 points didn’t help the hosts much.
With this win, Alba moved up to a 16-4 record while Jena falls to 8-13.
