Something is not working in the “Freak City” as Brose Bamberg recorded their fourth straight loss in the German Bundesleague. This time they are beaten by Jena on the road 85-68 on Day 22.
A team coached by Andrea Trinchieri is out of the playoffs in this moment as they are standing on an 11-10 record.
It was the second quarter when Bamberg starting to losing their grip. They were outgunned in that period losing it by 11 points (29-18) after an equal first quarter (20-20).
With a quick 6-0 run at the start of the second half, it looked like Bamberg will push for a comeback. It was far from it as the hosts won that period extending their lead and staying in charge until the end.
Skyler Bowlin paced the win for the hosts with a strong double-double. He had 12 points and 13 assists followed by Derrick Allen’s 18 points.
Ricky Hickman tried to move Bamberg with 16 points, but it wasn’t enough.
With this win, Jena moved up to a 9-13 record.
On Wednesday Bayern Munich once again showed their strength prevailing over Gottingen.
