MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg dominated against Science City Jena with a 91-62 win on Day 26 of German BundesLeague.
Although Ludwigsburg was leading from the start, the last ten minutes were what brought them to a big margin victory. With ten minutes left, it was a 12 point game in their favor but the hosts didn’t stop there. They won the last period 26-9, completely breaking the resistance of the opponent.
Elgin Cook led the winning side with 22 points while Thomas Walkup added 19 points and 8 rebounds. Kyle Weaver played a great game for Jena with 21 points.
Ludwigsburg stays third after this win with a 21-5 record while Jena is out of the playoff picture with 10-16.
Earlier today EWE Baskets Oldenburg barely came out on top against medi Bayreuth 102-98 in a very effective game. Rickey Paulding led the victors with 23 points and eight rebounds while Rasid Mahalbasic scored 22 points. On the other side, Gabe York’s 30 points weren’t enough to change the outcome.
This victory puts Oldenburg (17-9) at the fourth place with one win more than Bayreuth (16-9) and Telekom Baskets Bonn (16-9), but also with one more game played.
