Frankfurt ends Bamberg’s winning streak

After winning six straight games in the German League, Brose Bamberg could not get past the Fraport Skyliners in Frankfurt, losing 83-72.

Since the start of the contest and the first quarter, the visitors were down seven points (25-17) and by half-time, the deficit increased to 18 points (51-33). In the second half, Bamberg tried to come back with Dejan Musli leading but could not complete the comeback. Philip Scrubb was incredible, scoring 33 points for the winners.

With this win, Frankfurt improves its record to 18-13, remaining in the top-8 playoff picture. Brose Bamberg slipped to 19-12.

Earlier on Sunday, FC Bayern Munich blew out Jena at home 101-78 as Jarred Cunningham led the way with 23 points. In addition, Oldenburg got a close victory as did Ulm.

Finally, Alba Berlin enjoyed a road victory over Braunschweig.
