Brose Bamberg enjoyed a great afternoon, defeating Telekom Baskets Bonn 87 – 74 for game one in the German League playoffs.
In the early minutes of the contest, the visitors had a small lead, but Bamberg switched it up in the second period, and at the half, the hosts had a 38-32 lead. After the break, Brose increased this lead to double-figures (60-49), as Rubit and Wright were leading the way.
Bonn tried to come back in late third quarter, but in the fourth Brose’s squad responded perfectly. Dorell Wright had a great night, finishing with 24 points, while Augustine Rubit added 16. Nikos Zisis also affected the game with his 13 points and nine assists.
On Saturday, Alba Berlin blew out Oldenburg and lead the series 1-0, while FC Bayern Munich came back to defeat the Fraport Skyliners.
