With four players in double figures, Alba Berlin beat MHP Riesen 102 – 87 in Game 1 of the German league quarterfinals.
Alba dominated the fourth period 23 – 13 to make the 1-0 in the series. Luke Sikma had 19 points six rebounds and six assists, Bogdan Radosaljevic added 16 points and Joshi Aibou 15 points and five rebounds. Spence Butterfield scored 14 while Peyton Siva flirted with the double-double after finishing with nine points, nine assists to go with his six rebounds.
Dwayne Evans scored 17 points, Elgin Cook 16 and grabbed six boards while Thomas Walkup had 14 points and five assists for Ludwigsburg.
