Alba Berlin kept the momentum from the first game and dominated MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in Game 2 recording a crushing 100-74 road win to increase the BBL semifinal series lead to 2-0.
The guests showed they were set on finishing things as fast as possible allowing the opponent to score only eight points in the first quarter while they ‘banked’ 28. Although Ludwigsburg came back and cut the margin to five points (42-37) at the halftime, Alba got out on the floor after the break as the better team once again and won the third period 30-12. It was enough to secure the game.
Spencer Butterfield led the winning side with 17 points while Joshiko Saibou helped with 14 points. On the other side, Elgin Cook scored game-high 21 points in addition to Dwayne Evans’s 16 points.
Game 3 of the series is scheduled for 27th of May when Alba will try to advance to the Final in front of the home crowd.
