After winning Game 3, 91 – 88 and sweeping MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg 3-0 in the BBL semifinals, Alba Berlin is in the German League finals. Berlin’s squad will play against Bayern Munich or Brose Bamberg.
By the first twenty minutes, the visitors had a one-point lead in a neck and neck contest (42-43). With a 16-6 run in the third period, however, Alba went up by nine points (58-49) and had control of the game. This lead even increased to double-digits and 16 points (67-51) and so Ludwigsburg could not complete an impressive comeback, even if in the final minute, the visitors were down by just three points (91-88).
Spencer Butterfield put up 19 points and seven rebounds for the winners, while Marius Grigonis added 16. For MHP, six players finished with double-figured but could not complete the comeback.
