Bayern Munich stepped it up a notch in the final period and won 94-79 against Giessen 46ers on Day 9 of German League.
Nihad Djedovic led the charge with 17 points while Derrick Williams added 13. Vladimir Lucic registered a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.
For Giessen, John Bryant had a great night with game-high 30 points plus 12 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
The hosts held a 46-40 advantage at halftime but Giessen managed to take over the lead late in the third (65-62). However, Bayern broke them in the fourth quarter (27-14) and recorded a double-digit win in the end.
Bayern stays undefeated (9-0) in front of the two-week break while Giessen holds a 6-3 record. Alba Berlin holds the second spot with 7-1 while Crailsheim is at the bottom (1-8).
