Bayern Munich broke Brose Bamberg‘s resistance in the third quarter and held on for an 85-78 home win on Day 31 of German League.
With this win, Bayern improved to 29-2 and secured the top of the standings with three rounds to go as they have the tiebreaker against second-placed EWE Baskets Oldenburg (26-5). Bamberg now holds a 20-11 record at the fifth spot.
Danilo Barthel led the victors with 15 points followed by Nihad Djedovic’s 12 and Vladimir Lucic’s 11 points. For Bamberg, Cliff Alexander scored 12 and Augustine Rubit ten points.
