Augustine Rubit and Tyrese Rice combined for 57 points to help Brose Bamberg bounce back and grab a 102-98 home win after overtime against Vechta in the German League playoffs. The best-of-five series is now tied at 1-1.
Rubit banked 31 points along with 14 rebounds while Tyrese Rice nailed 26 points including the two-pointer which sent the game into overtime. He also dished ten assists and Bryce Taylor helped with 11 points.
For Vechta, Thomas Bray scored 29 points and dished 12 assists followed by Joshua Young’s 28 points. Austin Hollins added 18.
Game 3 will be played on May 25 and Vechta will have the advantage of the home crowd once again.
