Bayern Munich kicked off the game against Basketball Lowen Braunschweig strong and kept going for a 75-62 home win on Day 3 of the German League. Bayern improved to 3-0 while Braunschweig suffered its first loss (2-1).
Danilo Barthel led the way with 14 points in addition to Greg Monroe and Nihad Djedovic’s 11 points each. Monroe also added six rebounds, six assists, five steals and a block.
On the other side, Kostja Mushidi was the only double-digit scorer with 15 points while Scott Eatherton helped with nine points and ten rebounds.
Bayern started the match with a 23-5 run and went on the halftime rest with a 43-29 lead. Despite some ups and downs, the guests couldn’t decrease the deficit past ten points (64-54) and Bayern secured the win.
