Paris Lee put on an all-around performance of 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds as Brose Bamberg beat MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg 75 – 68 Friday (27/12) in the game that concluded Round 13 of the German BBL League.
Four more players scored in double figures to push Bamberg to the win and the 8-4 in the standings. Assem Marei led with 16 points, Louis Olinde had 14 points and eight rebounds, Christian Sengfelder 13 points and five boards and Kameron Taylor 10 points and seven rebounds.
For Ludwigsburg, Khadeen Carrington dropped 21 points, Marcos Knight 18 points and Jalen Smith 13 points plus six boards. MHP Riesen remains second at 10 – 3.
Bamberg’s fellow Basketball Champions League team Rasta Vechta (7-5) also proceeded with a win, by defeating s. Oliver Wurzburg (7-6) 89 – 87 behind 21 points by Josh Young and 17 points along with five assists courtesy of Steve Vasturia.
Undefeated (12-0) Bayern Munich and third-placed (9-2) Alba Berlin didn’t have any matches due to playing EuroLeague games against Zalgiris Kaunas and Baskonia respectively.
