Despite some ups and downs, Bayern Munich managed to hold off Brose Bamberg and log an 82-76 road win in the German League.
Bayern stayed undefeated with 13 wins compared to Brose which holds an 8-5 record now at the sixth spot.
Greg Monroe led the charge with 20 points on 7-8 shooting while Vladimir Lucic was right behind with 18 points without a single miss. Nihad Djedovic added 14 and Paul Zipser 12 points.
For Brose, Paris Lee put on a strong outing with 23 points and seven assists followed by Assem Marei with 15 and Christian Sengfelder with 12 points.
Brose opened the game slightly better but Bayern was ahead 21-17 at the end of the first quarter and 38-25 early in the second, but the hosts cut the deficit to 43-39 by halftime.
The start of the second half was similar to the start of the game as Brose seemed to be turning things around as they went ahead 52-47. However, Bayern took back the lead quickly with a 17-3 run (64-55) and didn’t let go until the very end.
